A huge thankyou for sharing a very special and unique piece of paradise with us. We have been fortunate to snorkel quite a few reefs of the world so have something to compare with . Uepi is up there with the best of them, but has a lot more going for it because everything possible is being done to preserve the reef: eg making sure the crown-of-thorns are kept away, not having large numbers of people in the water, educating guests on the impact they can make to this very delicate environment, teaching guests on how to dive and snorkel without damaging the reefs etc. This we appreciated enormously as have seen first hand how many reefs are being destroyed by the impact of money making tourism. The fact that it is out of the cyclone belt also makes a huge difference.
The local village people who made up the staff were delightful. We were also impressed with the attitude of Grant, Jill, Jason and Josh towards the Solomon Island people. So many tourist operators take all and give very little back to the indigenous people. That is certainly not the case at Uepi.
Jack experienced his first diving in the tropics at Uepi. The treatment he received from the dive masters was excellent. As a snorkeller I was very well treated and looked after.
Special thanks to all of the staff for the delicious healthy food, the lovely clean comfortable accommodation, your friendship, thoughtfulness and just being you. Special thanks to the dive team whom we got to know better.

One of the best places I’ve been to relax, phenomenal diving and no stress about being on schedule. The shark action is awesome and there are plenty of smaller critters to see and photograph. I’m looking forward to returning.
