Great Hammerhead
My research does not give me a species name for this ray, we call it the marbled ray because of its pattern. That will only be relevant to those who can remember the game of marbles of course.
To me it's the flowing, undulating skirt of this animal, almost using it like hands and feet to identify its way along the reef edge that is fascinating.
Grant tells me its the stone marble that the name is referring to, however I like my version best. So here's to the aggie's, cat's eyes, oxbloods, swirlys and tigers and of the world.
Knuckle down for keeps unless the bombies getcha!
Just checking who actually reads this ..... from Jill, Grant, Jase, Katie and Team Uepi.
