One of the questions we’re often asked is: “What’s it really like to get to Uepi, and what will I find when I arrive?”
The journey to Uepi is part of the adventure — and it’s worth every moment. After landing in the Solomon Islands, you’ll make your way to Seghe by small plane, where one of our boats will meet you for the scenic ride across the Marovo Lagoon. The water here is like nothing else — turquoise, calm, and dotted with tiny islands fringed by reef. By the time you arrive at our jetty, you’ll already feel a world away from everyday life.
We’ve recently shared a behind-the-scenes video made by us for The Island Life of Us — our family’s own island-life channel — that gives a closer look at not just the journey here, but also the island itself. It’s a great way to get a feel for Uepi before you arrive, and it shows some of the systems we have in place to help keep the resort running smoothly in our remote location.
Once you step onto the island, you’ll find more than just a resort. Uepi is home to vibrant gardens, a warm resort community, and some of the richest marine life in the world — right off our shores.
