5 ways to get some movement and exercise in at Uepi

While Uepi might be best known for its tranquil beauty and award winning diving, it’s also the perfect place to get your body moving. From sunrise Pilates to afternoon paddles, these are our favourite ways to add a little movement to your stay.

  1. Waterfront Pilates (and other workouts)

We’re so lucky to offer our very own Pilates and Yoga Retreats right here at Uepi, but regardless of whether you’re here for a week of wellness and rejuvenation, or some diving and Solbrews, some pilates is a pretty good way to start (or finish) the day.

Book My Spot in the 2026 Retreat

Especially when it’s on your very own private balcony (yes, it has a ceiling fan), steps from the water.

Don’t forget though, there’s no wifi access in your suite (yes, this is intentional), so download your fave classes primed to watch back when it suits. Shamelessly we’re going to plug our very own retreat instructor Jordyn – her online classes on Holiday Pilates Youtube were literally designed with Uepi guests in mind.

2. Run the Track

If you’re looking for a cross country-style run, mixed with a sauna, mixed with full nature immersion, then an afternoon run is calling your name.

And if running’s not on your holiday menu, we don’t blame you. At all.

But from experience, the sandy track will have you getting a truly unrivalled sweat up.

But that’s great, because what better way to cool off than with a dip in the lagoon, followed by a cool shower?

3. A Morning Manta Snorkel

Not that you’ll have to actually chase them around (and nor should you), our morning manta snorkels might just be the BEST form of morning exercise you could ever possibly imagine.

Paddling around with gentle giants as they swirl around their cleaning station, diving up and  down to get a good look sounds pretty good!

4. A Guided Uepi Hike

Despite being around 1.5km in length, hiking the island might just be one of the more challenging (and rewarding) forms of physical activity you can do here at Uepi.

With three lookouts on the northern side of the island, looking over the cliff across the New Georgia Sound, pristine virgin rainforest, and some incredible rocky coral landscape, there’s always so much to see.

Given the remoteness of the island, we only offer guided walks on the island, but what’s better than having an expert leading the way?

5. Go for a Paddle

Each of our beachfront suites has their very own Stand-up paddleboard and kayak to enjoy the picturesque clear water of the lagoon.

From Turtles and sharks to rays, dugongs and even a BABY BLUE WHALE, we’ve seen just about everything out in the lagoon, so keep your eyes peeled and enjoy the ride.

We absolutely love our Honu SUPs, especially being so remote, their quality and durability is a game changer.

So if movement’s your go, the options are aplenty.
